Birth, the most incredible moment we get to experience. After months of excitement, apprehension, and a whole host of emotions, the moment arrives and it is truly incredible, indescribable and life-changing. What an honour it is for me to able to document this momentous occasion. I am passionate about capturing raw, real images of a moment that will never happen again and I pride myself on being able to be non – intrusive and as invisible as possible during this very private and intimate time. I have included modest images in this gallery as client’s privacy is very important to me.
Many mums that I speak to look back on their birth experience through a bit of haze. Everything is so overwhelming and there is so much to absorb that it is always easy not to remember everything in detail. Having documentary images of how each moment unfolded allows both the birth mum and partner to look back on the experience and to re-live it in a different way. Remembering moments that they had forgotten in the whirlwind and wonder of birth. What an amazing thing for your baby to have when he/she is older. The moment they arrived in this world!
